For the pleasure of young and old alike, Marie Darnéal makes and hand-paints magnificent animated music boxes in the shape of characters and animals, playing typical Corsican traditional tunes, in her Scatt'a Musica workshop.
In the woodworking and painting workshop, we use wood such as white basswood, hand-painted in 3D, to create movement. A team effort with two painters and a carpenter, who harmonize to the delight of the young and nostalgic for their childhood. Goats, turtles, horses and other representations of a child's world come to life under their skilful hands, each piece carefully hand-painted in 3D.

Finishes are meticulously crafted, each piece being waxed to protect the paint without the use of varnish, thus preserving its natural appearance. With a collection of 40 models, from tiny fireflies to majestic "English Theatres", there's something for every taste and size. Each music box is a work of art charged with emotion and nostalgia, a perfect gift to celebrate the birth of a child or simply to enchant everyday life. Scatt'a Musica and its creations remind us of the timeless beauty of traditional craftsmanship and music.
