The Bonifato forest, surrounded by a majestic mountain cirque, is a haven of peace. The paths wind their way through this unspoilt nature, offering magnificent views of the mountains. The forest is a haven for the Corsican nuthatch and, if you're lucky, you may spot mouflons in their natural habitat.

Although the Bonifato forest is renowned for its long-distance hikes, such as the Mare e Monti and the GR 20, there are also perfect places to relax. The small river Figarella, which meanders along the forest path, forms numerous natural pools ideal for cooling off and enjoying the tranquillity of the area.

To preserve this exceptional site, parking is regulated. It is advisable to park in the car park of the Auberge de la Forêt, which is subject to a charge during the season. From here, a forest path takes you into the heart of the forest.
