Tour génoise de Losari
site

This Genoese tower dating from the late 16th century was built by Angelo Aijcardo on a headland 26 metres above sea level. It can be reached via a footpath near the Casa di Losari, and a flight of steps takes you to the top of the tower to enjoy a 360° panoramic view.

Chapel of Our Lady of Losari
site

Longtime abandoned, it was renovated in 2015. An annual mass is celebrated here with many inhabitants who spent their childhood here. A number of shepherds from the Niolu area came to spend the winter in Losari with their families.

Tour de Pianosa
site

Also known as Cala Rossa or Di Tre Moline, the tower was built in the 16th century by the Genoans, 36 metres above sea level and the little cove of Algaja.

Chapel of the Annonciade
site

This chapel was built in March 1713 next to the site of the old, smaller chapel. Above the entrance is a statue of the Virgin Mary.
In 1792, the statue of the Virgin Mary, which arrived from Genoa on the boat of a certain Paoli from Canari, was blessed by the village priest after being transported from Losari to the chapel before being placed in the parish church. A painting from the first quarter of the 18th century, attributed to the painter Pietro Antonio Rossi, depicting the Annunciation, St. Joseph and St. Francis Xavier, could be seen before it was placed in the village church.

Chapelle San Sebastianu
site

This chapel was built in 1670 following an agreement between the "Common Fathers" and the master mason, Gio Bernardo. It was restructured in 1860, with materials from the facade of the parish church that were retrieved and carried by the villagers.
In this chapel, there is a painting representing Saint Lucy and Saint Sebastian at the foot of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, the work of the painter Luigi Brunetti, originally from Urbino, whose activity is attested in Corsica from 1843 to 1851. He married in Belgodère. A procession and a celebration of the saint were organised in the past every 20th January by the population and the confreres of the Brotherhood of the Holy Cross. It houses an altarpiece in fairly good condition and a 19th century painting by Brunetti, an Italian painter, representing the Saint. Although it has been desecrated, this chapel is still the object of special veneration during the eponymous festivals.

L’Ostriconi et l’Agriate
site

Forget the idea of a desert as we imagine it and immerse yourself in the agricultural soul of the Agriate. The Ostriconi and the Punta Liatoghju are the first wonders to be discovered in the Agriate region.

This magnificent beach with fine sand cut in two by the Canale which winds inland to flow into the Mediterranean is a marvel to discover.

The Agriate is a site protected by the Conservatoire du littoral. Its landscape is marked by mountains sculpted by erosion, low, dry, woody scrubland, but also by cool valleys with holm oaks, rivers, marshes, lagoons and enchanting coves. A timeless place of unparalleled natural beauty.
